Stuarts Point, NSW, is a small and tranquil coastal village located halfway between Sydney and Brisbane, just a seven-kilometre drive from the M1 Highway.

Our Art Deco home, Little River Cottage, sits proudly on the banks above the Little Arm of the Macleay River. Facing the Pacific Ocean, we are blessed with lovely, cool coastal breezes that cross the water.

Little River Cottage, built in 1946, features two bedrooms and an open sleepout. Its coastal layout reflects the era in which it was designed, contributing to its unique charm. Topographically, this area is flat. We have no hills, except for the walk down to the river, making it perfect for an easy walking experience. You'll love that we are situated three properties away from the Chemist and five properties away from the supermarket, butcher, takeaway shop and fuel station. 

Stuarts Point is a sleepy coastal village with a great local supermarket, bottle shop, chemist, takeaway shop, butcher, tavern, bowling club, and café. However, it does not offer the nightlife of larger cities. For this reason, Stuarts Point is not a party town; it is a place of quiet beauty, abundant birdlife, great waterways for fishing, beautiful deserted beaches, coastal walks, and proximity to many other towns and national parks to explore—representing the quieter side of life.

We host holidays, weekend escapes, and short-term rentals for older couples and families. Please note that we do not accept bookings for families with babies and children under eight years. The cottage is not wheelchair or mobility scooter-friendly.

We do offer pet-friendly options upon application; dogs are welcome, but cats are not permitted. Dogs must not be left alone at home, especially indoors. The sandy soil makes it easy for them to dig under fences and escape the property.

Little River Cottage is a BYO home, meaning you supply your own bed sheets, pillowcases, and towels. All other bedding is provided. Alternatively, you can purchase a linen package, and we will supply everything for you.

You'll find a fully fenced backyard where you can park your cars and play games. The front of the cottage is open to the street and is not fenced.

Our vibe is relaxed coastal and our home is a place to enjoy in all seasons.
